Role Overview: The Unit Manager – Car Lending is responsible for leading and managing the Car Lending Sales Team to achieve business targets through effective sales strategies, team development, and strong customer relationship management. This role ensures the promotion of car loan products, compliance with credit policies, and delivery of excellent customer service while maintaining strong partnerships with dealers and stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the Car Lending Sales Team to achieve individual and unit sales targets.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training for Credit Officers (COs).
  • Monitor daily sales activities, set performance goals, and evaluate team performance.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote car loan products.
  • Plan and conduct marketing campaigns, dealer visits, and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure consistent growth of the lending portfolio by expanding market outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, car dealers, and business partners.
  • Visit customers’ residences and workplaces with COs to strengthen relationships and verify information.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner and provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure all loan applications comply with company credit policies and risk guidelines.
  • Provide recommendations on loan approval and manage credit risks.
  • Prepare regular performance and sales reports for submission to the Head of Sales (HOS).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

 

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in lending, sales, or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of credit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of lending systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel and conduct field visits as required.
