Role Overview: The Head of Sales is responsible for leading the car lending sales operations, driving business growth, and ensuring effective team management. This role oversees all aspects of the car lending sales department, including product development, sales strategy, operational efficiency, loan approval oversight, and performance evaluation. The Head of Sales ensures that departmental goals align with corporate strategy while fostering a high-performance and customer-focused sales culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets and market growth for car lending products.
  • Design, improve, and streamline internal processes to ensure efficient sales operations.
  • Develop and maintain competitive car lending products to meet market demands and customer needs.
  • Monitor loan approvals and ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the car lending sales team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Conduct staff evaluations, set departmental goals, and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, training sessions, and team-building activities to enhance sales skills.
  • Collect feedback from team members and other departments to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and oversee day-to-day departmental operations, including planning, organizing, and staffing.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational efficiency and smooth business processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and internal controls within the sales team.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and clients to achieve departmental goals.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with external vendors and stakeholders to support business growth.
  • Regularly evaluate team and individual performance against KPIs and targets.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure effective reporting and monitoring systems are in place to track sales activities and outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in car lending or financial services.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage large sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of lending products, credit evaluation, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
