Role Overview: The Unit Manager-Credit Analysis is responsible for managing the credit assessment and approval process, ensuring that all credit transactions are accurately analyzed, documented, and processed in compliance with the company’s policies and regulatory requirements. This role evaluates credit risk, recommends mitigation strategies, and supports business growth by fostering strong relationships with existing and new customers. The Unit Manager-Credit Analysis also provides guidance to loan officers, prepares reports for management, and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the credit operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Processing & Assessment

  • Process credit transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct credit analysis and ensure all credit assessments comply with the internal Credit Policy.
  • Investigate and review documents required for credit assessment to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze credit risk and provide actionable recommendations, including mitigation plans for the relevant business units.

2. Credit Proposal & Reporting

  • Prepare and arrange credit proposals for submission to the Credit Committee.
  • Monitor existing loans, maintain communication with customers, and follow up on repayment or loan performance.
  • Prepare loan reports as required by supervisors or management.

3. Customer Relationship & Business Support

  • Promote leasing products and services to existing and potential customers to support business growth.
  • Provide support to loan officers in resolving loan recovery issues.
  • Foster strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.

4. Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure credit operations are conducted with punctuality, responsibility, and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management to support credit and operational objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and integrity in all credit-related activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit, product development, business development, research, or related areas.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), Internet, and Email.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats; proficiency in Khmer and/or English is required.
  • Prior experience in Microfinance Institutions (MFI) or the banking sector is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, provide actionable insights, and support team decision-making.
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
